Morrisville Pharmacy & Compounding participates in 2nd Annual Shiloh Community Health Awareness Day

September 27, 2008 – Morrisville , NC – Morrisville Pharmacy & Compounding participated in the day-long community health event today at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Morrisville. The event featured several speakers including Chioma Ugwa, pharmacist-owner of Morrisville Pharmacy & Compounding and Morrisville Councilman Tom Murry, a relief pharmacist with Morrisville Pharmacy & Compounding. The Shiloh Community was recognized in 2006 by the Town of Morrisville with a historical marker.

“As a small business owner, I am deeply committed to serving the community around Cary and Morrisville,” said Ugwa. “It is part of my duty as a healthcare practitioner and a business-owner to make sure I give back to the community which faithfully supports my business.” Ugwa spoke on pharmacy compounding and its advantages and Murry spoke on the difference between brand and generic drugs. Additionally, Ugwa and her husband, Daniel had a booth promoting several pharmacy services at Morrisville Pharmacy & Compounding, including free delivery within a five-mile radius and flu shots by appointment.
